Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold has issued a set of demands to remain at Anfield and turn down a potential move to Real Madrid. According to talkSPORT, the 23-year-old has made it clear that he expects a minimum three-year contract and a long-term commitment to make him captain. These are the demands of the number 66 to stay at Anfield under manager Arne Slot and reject a move to the Spanish giants.

The England international has been linked with a move to the Bernabéu for some time, with Real Madrid eager to bolster their right-back options. However, Alexander-Arnold appears to be content at Anfield and is keen to remain with the Reds for the foreseeable future.

The defender’s demands could prove to be a stumbling block for any potential move away from Liverpool. While the club may be willing to offer a new contract, the prospect of handing him the captaincy could be more difficult to agree to.

With Alexander-Arnold’s contract set to expire in june, Liverpool will be keen to tie down one of their most important players to a new long-term deal. However, the club will need to weigh up the financial implications of meeting the player’s demands against the potential benefits of keeping him at the club.
