Liverpool are reportedly considering a renewed bid for Real Sociedad midfielder Martín Zubimendi. According to Spanish football expert Guillem Balague, the Basque midfielder is now open to leaving the club, just a few months after turning down a move to Anfield.

Speaking to the BBC, Balague revealed, "I was told everything was done with Liverpool but he personally decided not to go. Now, three months into the season, he is ready to go."

The Spanish pundit added, "When Manchester City want a replacement for Rodri, that is the guy to look for. Barcelona would love him but they don't have the money and he is ready to go now. He's not the strongest or the fastest but he reads the game so well and he leads the team. He understands the role perfectly. I don't think Liverpool will come back, although Zubimendi is on a different level to Ryan Gravenberch."

Zubimendi's potential availability has sparked renewed interest from Liverpool, who are looking to strengthen their midfield options. The 25-year-old Spaniard has impressed with his composure, passing range, and defensive abilities, making him an attractive target for many top European clubs.
