Jürgen Klopp tried to convince him to stay at Anfield

In the years prior to the great success of Jürgen Klopp's Liverpool, our team witnessed one of the most dangerous tridents in Europe, which dazzled all the fans at Anfield and excited many about a bright future from the hand of those three players, however all three decided to leave the team.

We are talking about Luis Suarez, Raheem Sterling and Philippe Coutinho. The three players promised to become legends of our Liverpool, but one by one they left the team, however the one that hurt everyone the most, including the then new Liverpool manager, Jürgen Klopp, was the departure of Philippe Coutinho, as the Brazilian had shown that he had the qualities to become one of the best players in the world.

But Coutinho, despite Klopp's insistence, decided to leave and leave Liverpool at the peak of his career as a professional player, and that ended up being the worst decision of his career, as in the same season he left, Liverpool won the Champions League and a year later the Premier League. Meanwhile, Coutinho suffered constant injuries and his level was never the same as it was at Anfield.

That is why, after spending time at Barcelona and FC Bayern, teams in which Coutinho could never establish himself as a starter, he ended up at Aston Villa. However, everything seems to indicate that his current team also wants to get rid of him, as it has been many years since he stopped being an elite player, and undoubtedly his best years were playing for Liverpool when he had a market value of 150 million euros, and now he is only worth 10 million.

Where will Coutinho play next season?

Given the rumors that Aston Villa would be looking for a new team for Coutinho, a team interested in him has emerged. It is Besiktas, from the Turkish league, who would be willing to pay 8 million euros for Coutinho, who still has one year of contract with Aston Villa.
