Liverpool, with Alexis Mac Allister featuring, secured a 2-1 victory against Lille in the UEFA Champions League group stage, solidifying their position at the top of the table with a perfect record. The star of the night was Mohamed Salah, who opened the scoring after 30 minutes of the first half and reached a milestone that places him among the best in the competition's history.

The Egyptian scored his 51st goal in the Champions League (also including the former European Cup), entering the tournament's all-time top 10 goalscorers. With this figure, he equalled Thierry Henry's record and surpassed Filippo Inzaghi and Kylian Mbappé, both with 50 goals.

Also within this prestigious list is Lionel Messi, who, with 129 goals, occupies second place in the all-time standings. The Argentine superstar comfortably surpasses Salah but could not dethrone the absolute leader: Cristiano Ronaldo, who ended his European career with 141 goals in the premier club competition.
