Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has hinted that the current season could be his last at Anfield, revealing that he is yet to receive a contract renewal offer from the club.
In a recent interview with Sky Sports, the Egyptian international expressed his desire to remain at Liverpool but admitted that the lack of progress in contract negotiations could force him to consider his options elsewhere. “I’ve always said I love Liverpool and the fans, but football is a business,” Salah said. "I want to stay, but it depends on what the club wants to do."
Salah's contract is set to expire in June 2025, and with Paris Saint-Germain reportedly keen to secure his services, the 30-year-old's future is the subject of much speculation. Liverpool manager Arne Slot has publicly expressed his desire to keep Salah at the club, highlighting his importance to the team.
The Egyptian has been in scintillating form for the Reds this season, and his potential departure would be a significant blow to the club's ambitions. Salah's agent, Ramy Abbas Issa, has remained tight-lipped on the situation, adding further fuel to the speculation surrounding the player's future.
As the transfer window approaches, all eyes will be on Liverpool and Salah to see if they can reach an agreement on a new contract. With the clock ticking, the Reds will be eager to tie down one of their most prized assets.
