Liverpool manager Arne Slot expressed his disappointment following his side's 2-2 draw with Manchester United at Anfield.
Speaking after the high-octane encounter, Slot acknowledged that his team had dominated large portions of the game but were frustrated by their inability to see off their bitter rivals.
"We created a lot of chances and played some really good football," Slot said. "But, unfortunately, we couldn't quite put the game to bed. It's a disappointing result, but we'll take the positives and move on."
The Dutchman was particularly impressed with the performance of right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold, who delivered a man-of-the-match display. "Trent was outstanding today," Slot said. "His ability to create chances from deep is a real asset to our team. He's a joy to watch."
Slot also highlighted the importance of maintaining a positive mentality going into the next game. "We'll dust ourselves down and get ready for the next challenge," he said. "There's a lot of football still to be played this season."
