Last season marked the end of an era for Liverpool, as many players who were an important part of the club's most recent success left to make way for a restructuring. However, their departure from the team does not mean that they are no longer players of great quality, as some of them already have offers to join big teams in Europe.
Jürgen Klopp's priority is to rejuvenate the squad, particularly the midfield, as the team suffered the loss of several players who won everything with the Merseyside team a few years ago, but who in the eyes of the board of directors no longer had a place in the team.
To achieve the restructuring, Liverpool has set several targets, among them Alexis Mac Allister who seems to be days away from being confirmed as the first official reinforcement of the Reds for the 2023-2024 season and that the departures of Alex-Oxlade-Chamberlain, James Milner and Naby Keita left spaces in the midfield of the club that now the German tactician must replace.
Naby Keita is precisely one of those players who will not continue in the Anfield team, because although he won everything with Liverpool, he could never gain the full confidence of Klopp, who did not consider him an undisputed starter, which is why he was not offered a contract extension.
The 28-year-old midfielder did not leave Anfield through the big door like other players such as Roberto Firmino. However, there are already several teams interested in him as it has been reported that Inter, Bayern, Borussia Dortmund and Leipzig, teams that would be looking for him to reinforce their squads, since they would not have to pay any transfer fee for him as he would arrive as a free agent.
