Klopp's unexpected comparison: who does Jayden Danns play like?

This Wednesday Liverpool got a key victory at Anfield Road that brings them closer to one of the goals they set for this season. It was 3-0 against Southampton in the FA Cup round of 16, which allowed them to advance to the quarterfinals. There they will face Manchester United, in a duel that will be memorable between two of England's giants.

Knowing that The Saints are playing in the Championship and that in just three days The Reds have an important Premier League match against Nottingham Forest, Jurgen Klopp decided to rest some squad players and included in the starting lineup many young players, such as Conor Bradley, James McConnell, Harvey Elliott and Louie Koumas. And then, during the second half, he also gave participation to Treymaurice Nyoni, Kaide Gordon and Jayden Danns.

The latter had been involved in two other matches before with Liverpool, one in the Premier League and one in the Carabao Cup, and in his FA Cup debut he showed all his talent: he only needed 30 minutes to score two goals and secure the team's victory. The first was a subtle shot over the goalkeeper after an assist from Elliott and the second was after catching a rebound inside the box.

The young forward's performance caught everyone's attention and that's why Klopp was asked about him in the post-match press conference. The coach surprised everyone with an unexpected comparison: "It is little bit like the new darts sensation, it is fine for tonight", Jurgen started saying, alluding to Luke Littler, who reached the PDC World Darts Championship final at the age of 16.

Then Jurgen Klopp described some of Jayden Danns' virtues and said: "(He's an) exceptional talent. Of course, it is not natural that a boy 18, is as calm as you like. The second goal calm as you like". And finally, speaking of all the youngsters on the squad who have played lately, he explained, "Everyone who is with us, we should have our moments, they will have more moments than we expect."
