Liverpool's summer has not turned out as expected in terms of transfers, as it was initially rumored that the Reds would be one of the most active teams in the transfer market, but so far only two players have been signed and many more players have left the team this summer.

The two signings that have arrived at Anfield so far, Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai, have excited Liverpool fans as they are both talented players with a lot of quality. However, Jürgen Klopp and the Reds' board consider that it is not enough for what the club wants to achieve this new season, which is why they have been looking for their third reinforcement for several weeks.

In that sense, Liverpool has suffered a low blow with the saga of Moisés Caicedo because after having offered a record transfer fee to sign him, the Ecuadorian midfielder preferred to wait for Chelsea's offer and sign for them.

In view of this our Liverpool have reportedly decided to go back for Romeo Lavia who had been the club's main target for weeks. According to Sky Sports, the Anfield board have already reached an agreement with Southampton to sign Lavia for £60 million, although there is also interest from Chelsea who could make a counter offer to beat Liverpool. In view of this, Jürgen Klopp has reportedly shown interest in two Real Madrid players in case Romeo Lavia does not materialize.

Real Madrid players of interest to Jürgen Klopp

According to information from The Secret Scout, Liverpool have asked Real Madrid for Aurelien Tchouameni and Federico Valverde. According to the same source, the Spanish club is likely to make one of the two available, however David Ornstein assures that although the interest is real in Tchouameni, it is complicated to materialize a transfer since the player himself does not have in mind to leave Real Madrid.
