Wolverhampton beat Liverpool 3-0 in Premier League matchday 22

Wolverhampton beat Liverpool 3-0 in the 22nd round of the Premier League in a match in which Mexican striker Raul Jimenez was involved in the second half. Wolves took advantage of their home support at Molineux Stadium and the Reds' poor form to take the lead with an own goal from Joel Matip just five minutes into the game.

Although Jürgen Klopp's side tried to fight back, Craig Dawson's 12th-minute strike gave the Reds no chance to respond and they went in two goals down at half-time. In the 71′ minute, Portugal's Ruben Neves sealed the win for Wolves, who moved out of the relegation places to 20 points and into 15th place in the table.

While Gakpo remains off the scoresheet, what Nunez does to score against Wolverhampton

The Reds, meanwhile, are stuck in tenth place with 29 points. Wolverhampton next visit Southampton, who are bottom of the Premier League, so it will be vital for Julen Lopetegui's side to come away with a win.

Gakpo still not scoring

The player who continues to underperform is Cody Gakpo who arrived as a reinforcement in exchange for 42 million. The striker is paid 4.5 million a year. But while he is still not scoring, Spain's Isco could join Liverpool for free if they offer him a deal as he is currently out of contract after leaving Real Madrid.
