Cristiano Ronaldo's problems with his team-mates are becoming more and more apparent

Cristiano Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes are not only team-mates at Manchester United, but also in the Portugal national team. This Monday they met in the Lisbon training camp of the Portuguese team participating in the World Cup in Qatar and the face to face between the two was quite tense.

The video was released by the Portuguese Federation, which is strange because it is not the image that suits the entity. It is part of the greetings Fernandes and other players receive from their team-mates as they join the dressing room. Cristiano extends his hand and Bruno responds with a very grim and compromised, critical look on his face.

The Red's have rejected the Brighton star

On Portugal's first goal against Uruguay to qualify for the last 16 of this World Cup, Cristiano Ronaldo raised his finger and ranted, claiming credit for the goal. Reality, however, is stubborn. Especially since, for many, many years now, football has been littered with replays that leave little room for interpretation.

The goal was scored by Bruno Fernandes, as was the second, with his attempted cross. And there is something metaphorical about the scene, however much the result is the same. Because his entire national team, his coach Fernando Santos and the captain himself are still determined that this will be Cristiano's Portugal, in his image and likeness. But time is passing for everyone, including the most perfect framework ever to play the game, and this is no longer Cristiano's Portugal.

Salah is on holiday in the Maldives

While Cristiano Ronaldo continues to have problems with his Portugal teammates due to his ego, Liverpool star Mohamed Salah is enjoying a holiday in the Maldives with teammates Luis Diaz and Tsimikas. This will help the Egyptian to get in better shape for the second half of the season and perform better to help the Reds fight for the Champions League and Premier League.
