What injury did Cody Gakpo sustain after his goal against Tottenham? Here's what we know

Tottenham and Liverpool were unable to break the deadlock in the first half and will now play each other in the second half. The visitors are coming off the back of a win last time out and will be looking to continue their winning ways. For their part, the home side come into this game on the back of a previous draw. On their previous visit, Tottenham drew 2-2 with Arsenal. Prior to this draw, they were on a 4-match winning streak. They scored 5 goals and had 13 goals scored. Liverpool beat West Ham United 3-1 at home. The visitors are on a positive run in the last few games of the current season, scoring 14 goals and conceding 4.

 

The home side is in sixth place and has 14 points (4 PG - 2 EP), while the visitors have 16 points and are in third place in the tournament (5 PG - 1 EP). Referee Simon Hooper was in charge of supervising the game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. For his part, Jürgen Klopp went with a 4-3-3 formation, with goalkeeper Alisson; Joseph Gomez, Joël Matip, Virgil van Dijk, Andrew Robertson as defenders; Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexis Mac Allister and Curtis Jones as midfielders; and Mohamed Salah, Cody Gakpo and Luis Diaz as forwards.

Although there is still no official report on Cody Gakpo's injury, according to different journalists the Dutch striker's knee problem could be a ligament problem, which could lead to him missing several weeks. It will be in the next few hours when he will undergo tests to determine the seriousness of the injury.
