Once again Liverpool prove they are bigger than the Citizens

After the UEFA Champions League activity in midweek, where the 'English Legion' got good results, the resumption of the Premier League has Liverpool FC in Matchday 14, with the possibility of taking points to get closer to the European places, as currently Jürgen Klopp's side are in 8th position with 16 points; product of 4 wins, 4 draws and 3 defeats.

At the top of the table are Arsenal FC with 28 points, followed by Manchester City, who have been characterised in recent years for making huge investments of millions in players, who in some cases, have not given the performance that was expected, such is the case of midfielder Jack Grealish for whom they paid 100 million last summer.

Grealish began his professional career in 2012 with Aston Villa where he was formed in the youth ranks, going out on loan the following year with Notts County and returning to Villa Park in 2014. It was there that he made his breakthrough and caught the eye of the 'Citizens' scouts who paid a crazy price for the 'Villain' idol. On his arrival at the Etihad, little has been said about the Englishman, who has made 32 Premier League appearances for Man City.

In August 2020, the Reds acquired the services of Greek defender Konstantinos Tsimikas, who arrived from Greek champions Olympiacos for 13 million euros. Since then, he has become a huge attacking weapon for Klopp, who asked for him because of his projection on the pitch, and with the Reds he made 86 appearances with 12 assists, numbers that pleased our head coach.

Tsimikas has more assists than Grealish

To our knowledge, Kostas has more assists (5) in seven starts this season than Jack Grealish (4) has in his entire Man City career. Giving Klopp a new lesson in finance and planning from Pep Guardiola. Today the Greek is Liverpool's lethal owner, and this season he is looking to prove why he was signed two years ago. "I was very unlucky. In my first season I caught the Covid-19 virus and had to battle with two injuries," said the 26-year-old.
