The arrival of Dortmund's English superstar would open the door for Oxlade-Chamberlain not to stay at Anfield

Despite the World Cup in Qatar, clubs continue to plan for the second half of the season, with managers analysing which players to bring in and which to let out of their squads. For example at Liverpool FC things are clear, and the priority is to bring in Borussia Dortmund superstar Jude Bellingham as soon as possible, which would open the door for someone to leave Anfield.

Head coach Jürgen Klopp has reportedly given the go-ahead for the young Englishman to arrive on Merseyside next January and become the best winter buy, just as he did a few seasons ago in 2017 when he signed Dutchman Virgil van Dijk from Southampton for an astronomical 84 million, stealing the headlines of the world's leading newspapers.

BVB CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke reportedly said that after Qatar 2022, they would talk and give an answer on the Bellingham case. Once the long-awaited move is finalised, the Red's would have to make financial room to cushion the cost of Jude's salary. One of the players sacrificed would then be England's Oxlade-Chamberlain, who has revealed that he will not be renewing his contract with Liverpool.

The Southampton youth product arrived at Anfield in the summer of 2017, when he left London (Arsenal) and joined Jürgen Klopp, who noted his pace and ability to play. Unfortunately OX picked up a nasty injury that kept him off the pitch for a while. "Oxlade's injury is important. It is a serious hamstring injury and it will take time," Klopp said on the club's website.

Chamberlain is out

The 29-year-old midfielder still has a good transfer window, which could help him find a Premier League club or try his luck in another league around the world. OX has recently been reported to be on the radar of Italian and German clubs. Chamberlain reappeared this term, playing a quarter of an hour in the match against Nottingham Forest in round 13 of the EPL.
