Morocco continue to be the surprise package of the World Cup and at half-time they beat Portugal 1-0 with a goal from El Nesiry, which could take them into the semi-finals and eliminate the Europeans. Should they achieve the feat, Liverpool will go for Portuguese defender Antonio Silva.

During the World Cup, the Liverpool manager realised that there are at least a couple of elements that could easily be a good reinforcement in various positions on the field, arising that interest to have a better defence before a possible departure of Ibrahima Konaté, seeing Klopp and his people in the Portuguese Antonio Silva as a possible replacement that could be together with Virgil van Dijk the new referents to guard the goal.

The Merseyside institution is no stranger to trying to make transfers that have to do with Portugal and its league, as in recent years they acquired the services of Diogo Jota and signed Darwin Núñez who played for Benfica, and now the English institution is looking at the young defender of the Eagles, Antonio Silva, a player who already had his first opportunity in the World Cup when he played in the defeat of his national team against South Korea.

Silva's youth and vast experience are what Klopp needs today in his new reinforcements, with the German tactician having in this Portuguese player the opportunity to continue with the renovation that Liverpool needs so much at the moment, although to do so, they would first need to convince the Portuguese club to release a player who is likely to increase his value after his participation in Qatar 2022.

Putting aside the large sum of money that Liverpool are willing to pay to try and sign Jude Bellingham for 2023, the Anfield outfit are also looking to the Portuguese market for cheaper options, with Klopp likely to prioritise an attractive offer for Ruben Neves and António Silva, who today appear to be getting their quarter-final place as they have the edge over their opponents.
