Liverpool FC renewed the contract of one of the best players in the League.

This thursday, Leighanne Robe signed her new contract with Liverpool FC. The 28 year old defender from Cambridge has renewed her bond with the first team and that's enough reason for the FA Women's Super League to be scared of the Reds.

Last season, Robe scored her first goals with the team, and actually, she did it in the best possible way. Let's remember that she scored a hat trick against Lincoln City during the Vitality Women's FA Cup.

An important asset for the club

Matt Beard spoke about the renewal and this is what he had to say: “Robey had a great season, she's a great one-v-one defender, very rarely gets beat”. To top it off, he finished with this statement: “Robey deserves a new deal and I'm really looking forward to see how she kicks on this year.”
