There's one player Liverpool are keeping a close eye on

Joao Felix, the talented 24-year-old Portuguese striker, seems to be enjoying his time at FC Barcelona and has expressed his desire to stay at the Azulgrana club beyond the current season, which marks the end of his loan spell from Atletico Madrid. However, in his recent interview he has left all Barça fans excited and has set in motion a potential addition that could give the Catalan side an extra boost.

In the interview with 'Spíler TV', Joao Félix was asked about which young footballer he would like to have as a teammate at Barça, and his answer was clear and blunt: Dominik Szoboszlai, the promising Hungarian midfielder who recently joined Liverpool for an impressive €70 million from RB Leipzig.

Joao Felix's choice comes as no surprise, as Szoboszlai, 23, has proven to be a player of great quality and versatility. So far this season, he has contributed three goals and two assists in 20 appearances in various competitions. His ability to control play in midfield and his ability to create goalscoring opportunities make him a perfect fit for Barcelona's style of play.

60 million for Szoboszlai replacement

Despite Joao Felix's enthusiasm and desire to see Szoboszlai in a Barcelona shirt, there is one major obstacle in the way: the Hungarian is under contract with Liverpool until 2028. This means that his arrival at Barcelona would be no easy task, and would require complicated negotiations between the clubs. Liverpool are showing signs of serious interest in Alex Baena, a Villarreal midfielder with a 60 million euro buy-out clause.
