Nothing is forever in life, and in football even less so. The romanticism of defending the same club's colours for years is fading, and nowadays it is very difficult for a player to retire at the same club where he shone. Mohamed Salah arrived at Anfield in June 2017 from AS Roma in Italy.

Salah was part of the golden trident that marked an era at Liverpool, with Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mané, the latter of whom emigrated last summer to Germany, winning huge titles for the Red's, including the Champions League, Premier League and Club World Cup, to name but a few. Now 30 years old, El Faraon could be on the move.

According to Football Insider, Liverpool may be willing to cash in on Mo Salah in the summer as a major overhaul is planned, with FSG's business model meaning that a series of expensive new signings would only be possible without one or two big-name sales. This is contingent on Liverpool not qualifying for European competition.

Owners want to sell Salah

Salah's departure would leave a huge income for the Red's who would use this to their advantage to close once and for all Jude Bellingham who would lead the new wave of signings for The Pool, who at the same time will have the departure of players such as Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Naby Keita, Adrian, James Milner, among others who finish their contracts in the summer.
