Liverpool are reportedly keen on signing Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Bynoe-Gittens. The Reds' new manager, Arne Slot, is said to be a big admirer of the young English talent and has made him one of his top transfer targets.
Bynoe-Gittens, a product of the Manchester City academy, joined Dortmund in 2020 and has since established himself as a promising young player. His pace, dribbling skills, and eye for goal have caught the attention of several top European clubs, including Liverpool.
Slot, who worked with Bynoe-Gittens during his time as Feyenoord manager, is keen to reunite with the winger at Anfield. The Dutchman believes that the 20-year-old has the potential to become a world-class player and could be a key part of his Liverpool side.
The England Under-21 international is currently earning around €3 million per year at Dortmund, and it is believed that Liverpool will have to offer a significant salary increase to tempt him away from the Bundesliga club. However, the Reds are confident that they can meet Dortmund's valuation of the player.
Liverpool have been linked with a number of attacking players in recent months, but Bynoe-Gittens is seen as the ideal candidate to strengthen the club's forward line. The Reds have been lacking creativity in the final third this season, and the addition of a player with Bynoe-Gittens' flair and ability would be a significant boost to the team.
Dortmund are reluctant to lose one of their most promising young players, but they may be tempted to sell if they receive a suitable offer. The German club are in a strong financial position and are not under pressure to sell, but they could be persuaded to part ways with Bynoe-Gittens if the price is right.
A move to Liverpool would be a dream come true for Bynoe-Gittens. The winger has always expressed his admiration for the Premier League, and the opportunity to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world would be too good to turn down.
