After a disappointing campaign in which the team failed to even qualify for the next edition of the Champions League, both Jürgen Klopp and the Liverpool board have reportedly taken the decision to raid the summer transfer market for young players who could help get the team back to where it belongs.

From the beginning of the transfer window, our Liverpool was positioned as one of the most active clubs, as a large list of candidates and possible arrivals to Anfield immediately emerged. Some turned out to be true and others remained pure speculation, but the truth is that, so far, the board has managed to finalize two signings that have excited the fans, because they are two players with great potential and with great qualities to become stars of the Reds.

Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai are, for now, the only two reinforcements of the team. However, various journalists have claimed that Liverpool would not be satisfied with that and would be in search of at least a couple more players, of which one would be a midfielder and the other a central defender. As for the midfield options, Fabrizio Romano said that the race would be between Romeo Lavia and Khéphren Thuram.

However, everything seems to indicate that, after the arrival of Szoboszlai, Liverpool's board has lost interest in Thuram, so Romeo Lavia would be the great favorite to reach the team, however in recent hours journalist David Ornstein has pointed out that Manu Koné has re-entered the conversation to strengthen Liverpool, and it is even said that he could be the one who finally becomes the new signing of the Reds, but there is a detail: Koné is injured.

Manu Kone's injury

Manu Koné, who had been among the first candidates to reinforce Liverpool, suffered a knee injury during the Euro U21 with the France national team. The severity of the injury is still unknown, but Koné had to leave the stadium on crutches, so it is surprising to hear his name again as a target for Jürgen Klopp.
