Liverpool's poor season has prompted German manager Jürgen Klopp to make drastic decisions to correct course and avoid a tragedy on Merseyside, such as running out of places in European competitions, which would be a blow to their budget and even make them unattractive to superstars who might decide to switch clubs and not end up choosing them.

So Klopp started by leaving out players like Joel Matip, Jordan Henderson and even Fabinho, who were replaced by Joe Gomez, Naby Keïta and of course, the new star Stefan Bajcetic, who took his first important role in the game against Wolverhampton, which ended in victory and now prepares them to face Brigton Hove Albion in the 1/16 of the FA Cup Final.

Speaking on the Football People podcast, Klopp mentioned how important this new spell in charge of the club will be. "It's a challenge, it's one of the main reasons I signed the new contract because I knew [a rebuild] is necessary and it won't disappear overnight. Imagine the situation now with another manager in the chair," said the German who arrived at Anfield in 2015.
Among the new faces Klopp has sent on to the pitch is Bajcetic who, since scoring against Aston Villa at Villa Park on Boxing Day, has given the player of Serbian descent, but of Spanish choice, greater confidence in his young stay on Merseyside and even against Chelsea FC, he played around 81 minutes, looking to continue the trust Klopp has placed in him.

Restructuring begins

Other new faces are Rhys Williams and Pat Philips, players who are in the orbit of Klopp, as the former will finish his loan with Blackpool being one of the recurrent players of the club, together with his partner who could have a greater role, due to injuries and the absence of some players. Finally, a cascade of loan recalls is approaching for Kirkby, as Klopp says he needs everyone to return Liverpool to the top.
