Our Liverpool seems to be halfway to what Jürgen Klopp had planned in terms of signings for the coming season, as so far the board has only been able to finalize the arrival of two signings, however Klopp considers that Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai can not cover all the casualties that the team has had this summer so he would be looking for two or three more signings.

In that sense, it has been reported in several media and also several journalists have confirmed that Romeo Lavia, Southampton's 19-year-old defensive midfielder, is Jürgen Klopp's top priority to be the team's third reinforcement, however negotiations between both teams have not been easy as Southampton does not seem to have intentions to decrease their £50 million fee for their player.

That is why Fluminense's 22-year-old Brazilian midfielder André Trindade has also become a real possibility to reinforce the team, as the Anfield board has him as a plan B to join the team in case Lavia's arrival cannot be finalized this summer.

However, the latest reports claim that Liverpool could try to sign a completely different player, but one that could be an important part of the club's future, something that is currently also a priority for the German manager.

Liverpool's new target

According to a report from Anfield Watch, Liverpool have already begun negotiations with the representatives of Aston Villa's 21-year-old winger Jaden Philogene. According to the source, Philogene's ability to play at both ends would be a key factor that would interest Liverpool, who have already inquired about the terms of a possible transfer.
