Jurgen Klopp decided not to include Keita in the starting 11, but also not in the substitutes for the derby against Manchester United.

Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita, who was said to be fit for the derby against Manchester United at Old Trafford, was not named in the matchday squad for Monday night's game.

The situation is strange, as even the Guinea international was expected to start in Jurgen Klopp's starting XI, but so far no official statement has been made as to why the German manager made this decision.

Meanwhile, rumours of his departure could grow, although Jurgen Klopp did not assure that Keita would leave, in recent days he was asked what would happen if the player did not reach a long-term contract agreement with the team, to which he replied that another player should arrive in his place, without mentioning if this was already a fact.

Line-Up

Joe Gomez returned and Liverpool made three changes for tonight's clash. The centre-back replaced Nathaniel Phillips in the Old Trafford line-up, while Jordan Henderson comes into midfield in place of Fabinho. Roberto Firmino returns to the starting line-up, while Darwin Nunez begins a three-match suspension.

Liverpool: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson, Henderson, Milner, Elliott, Diaz, Salah, Firmino. Substitutes: Adrian, Davies, Fabinho, Tsimikas, Carvalho, Clark, Bajcetic, Phillips, Van den Berg.
