The Argentinian is deciding whether to renew his contract with the French side, but now he has learned that his bosses could buy the Reds

PSG in 2012 was bought by Qatar Sports Investment (an Asian business group led by Nasser Al-Khelaifi) and the success of the Parisian team has led the Qatari tycoons to think about a move to the Premier League, holding talks with Liverpool's owner to buy part of the Anfield giants.

According to The Telegraph, Nasser Al-Khelaifi was in talks with FSG about the Qatari group's arrival at the Reds to compete against Manchester City and Newcastle; owned by business groups from Abu Dhabi and Saudi Arabia respectively.

Jurgen Klopp's reaction to PSG wanting to buy Liverpool

The fear that only Liverpool can produce in the Premier League

The intention of QSI and Al-Khelaifi is to obtain approximately 25% of the shares of the London club. Confirming their intention to enter the Premier League for the first time, then do the same in Ligue 1 with PSG and in Portugal's Liga NOS with Sporting Braga.

The idea of buying that 25% comes from the UEFA regulations that prevent the club from having more than 30% in more than one club in the Champions League, which they are willing to do because of what it means to be a minority owner of one of the so-called Big Six of the Premier League (a distinction to which Tottenham belongs along with Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool).

Messi to receive bad news

Lionel Messi is thinking about renewing his contract with PSG. And while he is asking for a good salary and to be comfortable after being world champion. Now with this decision by Nasser Al-Khelaifi to bid to buy Liverpool, it could distract him from the Argentine's renewal, something that would cause his annoyance.
