This Tuesday, Liverpool played their first preparation match in Thailand against Manchester United. Colombian winger Luis Diaz was Liverpool’s most acclaimed figure in the match.

One of the highlights of the match was the debut of United's coach, Teg Hag, who in the pitch with the 'Red Devils' for the first time. The tactician managed to put together a great team on the pitch and thrashed Liverpool 4-0, a surprising result, considering the clubs form the previous season.

Despite the defeat and the limited time the Colombian was on the pitch, the English did not hold back and praised Luis Diaz's performance. They even claimed that he was the only player who got the fans excited with his appearances with the ball.

The Liverpool Echo reported that Diaz captivated, but above all, he was a constant headache for the United defense: "He wowed the crowd and caused Dalot a headache with his direct run and forced a great save from De Gea before hitting the post”.

Substitutions galore in friendly match

Despite Liverpool's defeat, Diaz had three chances to score. In two of them, he rattled De Gea with strong shots towards his goal. Despite that, 33 minutes into the match, Klopp made his changes and ended up taking off 10 players, including Luis Diaz.

Apparently, the coach wanted to test and see which players he could count on for the current season ahead. It should be noted that most of them were young players at Liverpool, so some of the stars did not enjoy minutes on the pitch.
