Liverpool were struggling with just two points from three games after two draws against Fulham and Crystal Palace and a painful defeat to Manchester United in the derby, but the thumping of Bournemouth gave them some breathing space, although this does not stop the Reds from looking for a new signing.
According to the Yorkshire Post, Liverpool are still looking for a player who can fill in when Thiago Alcantara, who is still injured, is absent in midfield, so they have already chosen a player to add to their squad.
Although a number of names have been bandied about, there have been a number of players of interest to the club in recent weeks, including Borussia Dortmund's Jude Bellingham, Brighton's Moises Caicedo, Real Madrid's Marco Asensio, Benfica's Enzo Fernandez, among others.
Although in the last few hours a profile a little different to the previous ones was handled, a midfielder who was not on the radar of journalists and now joins the list of possible signings, which although there are a few hours left to close, there is still the possibility of it happening.
Sander Berge, currently playing for Sheffield United, would be the one chosen by the German manager Jurgen Kloop and he would be looking to sign him before the current transfer window closes, which is this Thursday 1 September at 23:59.
