While the break for rescheduled fixtures and international friendlies with national teams may be a welcome relief for Liverpool to rest and restructure the tactical set-up with injury returns, the team is currently in limbo with those pending matchdays 7 and 8 against Wolverhampton and Chelsea, as the tight schedule virtually prevents them from playing in the next few weeks.

With the Reds playing four more Champions League group games and a further League Cup tie before the season closes in November for the World Cup, there is not even a window of opportunity for the two postponed Premier League games to be rescheduled until after the final in Qatar on 18 December.

Jürgen Klopp has already found a way to make Liverpool better

The favour Liverpool would ask of Portuguese agent Jorge Mendes

If Liverpool fail to progress from their EFL CUP third round tie against Derby County on Wednesday 9 November, there is a chance that one of the games could be rescheduled for 20 or 21 December, that is, if Chelsea or Wolves also fail to qualify for the next stage of the English competition, although even with one of the two games still to play, there would still be a date to pay for the last of them.

However, it is likely that the Reds will have to wait until the first half of January to see a possible solution to their problem, with failure in either competition being the gap to make up the games.  However, at Anfield there is no talk or prediction of failure so early in any of the competitions they are playing in, demonstrating that their only objective is to win championships at any cost, and they have already generated a response in the Champions League with that victory over Ajax.

Liverpool already thinking about Brighton

Liverpool's next top-flight game is at home to Brighton on Saturday 1 October, almost a month after their last game in the competition ended in a goalless draw with Everton on 3 September. Three days after facing the Seagulls they will host Rangers at Anfield in Matchday 3 of the Champions League Group Stage, looking for those days to maintain their runners-up spot and even a remote lead.
