Luis Díaz, one of the most outstanding players in the Liverpool squad in recent seasons, could leave Anfield earlier than expected. Although the Colombian has a contract with the English club until 2027, recent disagreements with the board regarding his salary have generated tensions that put him on the radar of two European giants: Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.
According to sources close to the player, Díaz believes that his current salary does not reflect his importance within the team, especially after becoming a key piece of the "red" attack since his arrival in 2022. Liverpool, for its part, does not seem willing to offer him a significant increase, which has left the door open for other clubs to try to seduce the Colombian attacker.
Barcelona, led by German coach Hansi Flick, would be interested in incorporating Díaz to reinforce its offense. Flick considers that the Colombian's explosiveness and versatility are ideal qualities to complement his playing system, especially on the wings, where the team has shown deficiencies in recent months.
The Catalan club, which is looking to regain its hegemony in Europe, would be willing to pay up to 80 million euros for the signing of Díaz, a figure that could also help Liverpool's finances.
On the other hand, PSG see Díaz as an opportunity to fill the void left by Kylian Mbappé after his recent departure. Luis Enrique, the Parisian team's coach, has expressed his admiration for the Colombian and believes that his ability to overflow and his goal-scoring instinct would fit perfectly in a renewed attack. In addition, PSG's ambition to remain competitive in the Champions League reinforces the need to add high-level players like Díaz.
Although Liverpool has not yet made a final decision, it is clear that pressure from other clubs and Díaz's discontent complicate the panorama. The Colombian, 27, is at the peak of his career and knows that a change of scenery could consolidate him as one of the best players in the world.
The 2025 summer transfer market promises to be decisive for the future of the Colombian striker, who will have to weigh up whether to continue fighting at Anfield or seek new horizons in Spain or France.
