Benfica is awaiting a fresh offer for Fernandez

Recent reports claimed that Benfica turned down an unknown club's offer of €100 million for Fernandez's services, while Real Madrid was believed to be Liverpool's major competition for the 21-year-signature old's earlier this month, Man United has also been linked to an interest in the player additionally, 

Fernandez may very well go during the upcoming January transfer window, with Liverpool and United having "advanced" in their pursuit of his services,  reports that Benfica is awaiting a fresh offer for Fernandez, according to Record's front page report on Tuesday, Jorge Mendes is expected to submit a higher offer than the €126 million Joao Felix received from Atletico Madrid in 2019.

Some people may find it difficult to believe that the Reds can afford to sign both Gakpo and Fernandez in the same transfer window, especially if they hope to sign Jude Bellingham the following year.
