Klopp's surprise package to face Leicester

Jürgen Klopp's Reds are back in action after the break for the Qatar 2022 World Cup. Last Thursday 22 December they played in the last 16 of the League Cup against Manchester City and unfortunately they were eliminated by Manchester City with a 3-2 defeat at the Etihad Stadium.

Likewise, they returned to action in the 15th Premier League on Boxing Day when they visited Aston Villa and won 1-3. Now, they play again in the British Championship on Matchday 16 of the Premier League where they are sixth in the overall standings and will face Leicester City, a team that is not going through its best moment and are located in thirteenth place.
