Liverpool have endured the worst crisis in the Jürgen Klopp era as they are out of the EFL Cup, FA Cup and the race for the Premier League

It is hell for the Red's fans who once again had to swallow and accept the taunts of the rest of the Premier League teams, who see the prestige they have built up over the years crumbling in just a couple of weeks. The Pool's latest failure was the FA Cup exit at the hands of Brighton, who beat them 2-1 at home.

This situation has led Jürgen Klopp to be in the eye of the hurricane by the critics, and is that the media lambastes the German, branding him as the main culprit of this atypical moment that The Pool is living. To which the former Borussia Dortmund coach said that injuries are an important part in this series of defeats, as the team has strongly resented the loss of van Dijk, Jota, Diaz and Firmino.

Klopp was forthright in the face of the finger-pointing and said he did not become a bad manager overnight. "I was never as good as people probably said or not as bad as some people might think, but well, imagine if you were talking to another Liverpool manager, a different face who has to explain these things. Nobody would listen. They would say last season was great, this year is not great, so go ahead," Klopp said.

The architect of The Pool's last golden era sought to dampen the pressure that daily life at Anfield comes with. "You need to have broad shoulders in difficult times. We will do it with everything we have, then we will do it in a way that people will be eager to go to the stadium for the next show," the German told the media, where he said they are already preparing for the next match against Wolves.

Paradoxically Klopp can console himself with the streak of Britain's Bill Shankly, who 50 years ago went seven years without winning a trophy, while the 55-year-old German is the first Reds manager in history to set a class of excellence by winning the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, FA Cup, Community Shield, Club World Cup and League Cup.
