The Reds boss had to take him off during the Merseyside Derby because he was not in good form

Red coach Jürgen Klopp was not happy with the performance of several of his players after the draw against Everton in the Merseyside Derby at Goodison Park. But it was full-back Trent Alexander Arnold, who was even substituted before the end of Saturday's game, who was made aware of his poor form on the pitch.

At 23 years of age, TTA is one of Liverpool's most valuable players and is now experiencing his fifth season as a starter in Jürgen Klopp's line-up. But in recent matches, his performances have not been as expected, which is why the manager had to change him just after 53 minutes at Goodison Pak to bring on veteran James Milner.

During his time on the pitch in the Merseyside Derby, Trent only created one dangerous attacking move, but he had no shots on Jordan Pickford's goal. Defensively, he failed to win any duels against Everton's attackers and was barely able to win back four balls. That's why Klopp didn't think twice and substituted him straight away.

Valued at 94 million euros and considered one of the best full-backs in the world, Klopp knows the potential Arnold can achieve. That is why he is asking him to raise his level in order to help Liverpool as they look to improve their results both in the Premier League and from Wednesday in the Champions League. It will be at the Diego Armando Maradona stadium where they will face Napoli of Italy.

‘So who do we have on the couch? Millie can play in midfield and both wing positions and like the last game we thought it made sense to bring the fresh legs there, so we decided this way', was the German coach's explanation for Arnold's replacement by a veteran James Milner who is in the final stages of his career.
