Liverpool, after a season that has seen them fall just short of winning the Premier League and Champions League, have their sights set on improving their squad to kick-start a new sporting project next season.

For his part, Jurgen Klopp has the idea of improving the midfield, one of the weakest positions of the team, with a top-level player, having thought about the German midfielder of Borussia Monchengladbach, Florian Neuhaus.

The 25-year-old has established himself as one of Germany’s best central midfielders in recent seasons. Last term, he managed to contribute towards 8 Bundesliga goals for Gladbach, but it’s his work in deeper areas of the pitch which really catches the eye.

Neuhaus, who also was as a possible signing for Real Madrid, is not having the same prominence this season in his German team, a scenario that would set an advantage from Anfield, in a bid to strengthen the team.

Therefore, the arrival of the 25-year-old is something that Klopp would not dismiss, who last season played 2,323 minutes in which he managed four goals and four assists.

The Bundesliga is too small for Nehaus

Florian Neuhaus is also on the radar of other European giants such as Bayern Munich or the aforementioned Real Madrid, something that seems necessary for the 25-year-old German player to continue his development in a major European league over the next few years.
