The World Cup in Qatar is coming to a climax as the second day of the first groups have been played, and some teams have started to excel, and even have a foot and a half in the next round. But others love the suffering that comes with their history, as in the case of England, who made a mess of things by drawing goalless against a CONCACAF team like the United States.

This uncertainty generates that the fans, besides supporting the English, begin to see other options, betting on other teams that could give the upset, as is the case of a team from the black continent. So our favourite combination would be Senegal because of the affection we have for Sadio Mané, whose figure is still missed at Anfield and even more so in this World Cup, where the impossible has been done to make him play in his second World Cup.

Even Red's superstar Mohamed Salah, who thinks the same, will be cheering the Lions on their way to the Qatar Cup. In an interview the Pharaoh mentioned that he is saddened that Mané - whom he considers his friend - will not be there. "Massive loss in Mane [for Senegal], I am sad that Mane's not here. I really am. I feel like a tournament [isn't the same] without him, even Salah, to be fair, from that point of view," he told a local media outlet.

Salah, who is currently working with Bein Sports, confessed that Senegal lose a lot in attack without Mané, who unfortunately suffered a knee injury just two weeks before the start of the World Cup. Senegal's own football federation admitted that they even resorted to witchcraft to get him ready, which did not happen and the Africans, with that momentum, went out to seek their passage to the next round, as it was they who recently scored Africa's first win in the tournament.

With Salah cheering on the African champions, Senegal crushed the host Qataris who in just two games are the first team to bow out of the tournament, the second host to do so, as was South Africa in 2010, but they did so in three games. So in a tight group, Senegal will seek a place in the Round of 16, facing the revelation so far, Gustavo Alfaro's Ecuador, who has been trending for the way he speaks and addresses press conferences.
