Liverpool could make a decision to change the direction of the team this summer

It is no secret that the summer transfer market has not been what we expected for our Liverpool, as so far we have only been able to finalize the arrival of two reinforcements. With just over two weeks to go until the European transfer window closes, the Reds are still looking for not just one, but several players to join the team.

In that sense, Jürgen Klopp's priority for months has been to sign young midfielders because he believes the team needs to renew itself in that position. That is why the first request of the summer was to sign Alexis Mac Allister and after that the termination clause of Dominik Szoboszlai was paid, thus signing two of the best players available on the market, which excited the Anfield fans as both are young players with great talent, in addition it was said that their signings were just the beginning of the reconstruction that our Liverpool would carry out.

However, so far, it seems that this rebuilding has been half-hearted because although there was talk at one point in the summer that in order for Liverpool to continue signing players they needed to sell others, everything indicates that the board took it very literally, especially when they allowed the departures of Jordan Henderson and Fabinho, two players who were considered to have important roles in this new season and who now left a big hole that we have not been able to fill.

Now, with the double failure of not being able to complete the signings of Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia, Liverpool have been left in a very unfavorable position, as with little time left they must look for new targets to sign. In view of this, it seems that Liverpool's board of directors is already preparing important changes in the club's structure, changes that will be made this summer.

The change

According to journalist François Plateau, our Liverpool is ready to acquire a new Sporting Director as it is believed that Jorg Schmadtke will not continue in the position beyond this summer.
