Liverpool match versus Crystal Palace through the eyes of their Singapore fans

Liverpool took an early lead in the 12th minute when Harvey Elliot received a ball on the right flank. The young English starlet raced down the right flank and crossed into the heart of the box. Jordan Henderson, unmarked, shot first-time, cross-shot and half-volleyed into the Palace net.

It was not until the second half that the second goal of the match was scored. Just a minute after entering the field of play, Salah scored the definitive 2 - 0, to which Vicente Guaita, Spanish goalkeeper, could do nothing. The Egyptian player combined on the right flank with Alexander-Arnold to get into the opponent's box. Salah looked for a strong shot at the long post, his shot was less well placed than expected, but fortunately slipped into the back of the net.

The victory is comforting after the 4-0 drubbing by Manchester United in the first test of the preseason, but it is not a final statement of intent when there is still much, much work to be done in a squad that is undoubtedly full of resources, in which everyone has room for improvement.

Substitution galore

Liverpool used up to 32 players, giving minutes to homegrown players and less regulars. Darwin Nuñez, who has yet to score a goal and is still weighed down by his failure in the match against United, returned to play for the English side.
