He is Messi's ideal partner and is now in Liverpool's sights

Argentine midfielder Enzo Fernandez is on Liverpool's radar and could arrive at Anfield if a deal can be agreed with Benfica. Enzo has scored three goals in seven games for Benfica (from where Darwin Nunez arrived), helping them qualify for the UEFA Champions League group stage.

Benfica coach Roger Schmidt admitted they could lose Fernandez after he was linked with a move to Merseyside. Fernandez has been quick to win admirers in European football, but is also complicated by the fact that he has only recently arrived in Portugal from Argentina this season.

Liverpool are regular buyers in Portugal, with Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez swapping Porto and Benfica respectively for Anfield.
