Luis Diaz arrived at Liverpool directly from Porto at a cost of 7ME, and since then, according to the Football Observatory (CIES), he is among the 10 most valuable players on the market. 

The career of the player born in Barrancas, Colombia, exploded thanks to his participation in the Copa América 2021, where he reached the semifinals and scored four goals in five games. Since his arrival at Liverpool, he has made 13 Premier League appearances, scoring four goals and assisting three times and scoring twice in seven Champions League games. 

Positioning among the most valuable players

This growth made him become one of the favorite players of the red fans and of Jürgen Klopp himself, but also made his value increase to 110 million euros, placing him in eighth place in the ranking of the most expensive players. 

The top 3 is made up of the likes of Kylian Mbappé in first place, worth 205.6 ME, in second place is Vinicius Junior at 185.8 ME, and in third place is Norway's Erling Haaland worth 152.6 ME.
