Firmino has just arrived in Arabia and already has his first big problem impacting Anfield

Brazil international Roberto Firmino committed to Al Ahli on Tuesday, the Saudi club said, adding another big name to their squad after recently signing Senegalese goalkeeper Edouard Mendy from Chelsea. Firmino, 31, left Liverpool after eight seasons with the English Premier League club, where he won the Champions League and Club World Cup in 2019, the Premier League in 2020 and the FA Cup in 2022.

He arrives in Saudi Arabia on a free transfer after recently finishing his contract with the Reds. Al Ahli made the signing official with a video on their social media and the player joins the club until 2026. The Brazilian striker, 55 times capped by his national team, will land in Jeddah and his arrival is part of the wave of signings undertaken by various Saudi Arabian clubs, looking to improve the quality of their football and strengthen the country's aspirations to host the World Cup or the Olympic Games in the future.

Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo has been playing for Al Nassr since January and other stars have since followed in his footsteps, notably his former Real Madrid team-mate Karim Benzema, who recently joined Al Ittihad.

Firmino was unveiled with his new club to the iconic song sung to him by Liverpool fans Si Señor, but this was not amusing as The Ragamuffins took to social media to claim that the Arab club have no rights to the song which aims to raise money for the food bank.
