The physical and footballing change

Divock Origi had a good start to his career with LOSC Lille in France, demonstrating his great pace and power, so the Reds signed him in 2014, where he had to slowly earn a place and was never able to exploit his full potential despite having been at Liverpool for several seasons.

Despite scoring the second goal in the Champions League final of 2019 and thus giving great joy to the fans, he could never be a reliable player, so he was regularly a change player, so he did not have a great time at Anfield, despite having been so long and who was expected to have a great future as a striker of the Reds.

So after having scored a very important folder for the Reds he could not win a place as a starter and although the competition was against the Brazilian Roberto Firmino, Klopp gave great opportunities to the Belgian, however he could never finish polishing his great qualities so they opted for his departure, and he went free in 2022 to Italy with AC Milan, where he could not do much and now he is on loan with Nottingham Forest, where he has seen a big change in his physique.

A return to Italy does not seem to be an option either

Origi is on loan with Nottingham Forest until June 2024, so unless he makes a big effort to change his eating habits and train more than his teammates to earn a place, otherwise his career could stagnate and he may not be able to leave, so this season will be decisive for the Belgian.
