Since Jürgen Klopp arrived at Liverpool in 2015, the Reds are enjoying their worst start to a season since then. After eight games played, the Anfield outfit are tenth in the Premier League, a position that is certainly far from the minimum required for a squad like Klopp's, which should be aiming for at least the positions that give access to the Champions League. That is why the German coach and the English club's directors have already begun to monitor the transfer market to reverse the bad dynamic with the name of the current Stade Rennais player, Jérémy Doku, on the table.
Although Mohammed Salah has been a key member of Liverpool's squad in recent years, the Egyptian is not performing as well as expected in the Premier League this season, scoring just two goals in eight games. Given this situation, Doku, as we said, would be the Reds' favourite option to reinforce Liverpool's right side of the attacking line.

This is what the British newspaper Daily Express reports, which also adds that the Belgian player, who is only 20 years old, is Klopp's choice to replace Salah in the long term. In this way, during the years in which both players would coincide until 2025 (the year in which the Egyptian ends his contract with the English club), the Reds would add competition for Salah and would give Doku more than enough time to adapt to Jürgen Klopp's style of play.
In any case, the truth is that the German coach likes the Belgian player very much, having tried to sign him for Liverpool on two occasions. There is certainly no shortage of arguments for this, as Doku is a very skilful, left-footed winger who starts on the right flank. A profile that, on the other hand, Klopp has missed a lot in recent seasons to give Salah a rest.
The Belgian is also characterised by his pace, although he still has a lot of room for improvement in terms of association play and in front of goal. In any case, given his age (he is only 20 years old) and projection, Liverpool would do well to try to strengthen their attacking line with Doku. Of course, his arrival would mean an essential improvement for the Reds if they want to finish the league competition with the best possible sensations.
