Owners of Liverpool, Fenway Sports Group, had recently been considering how to diversify their football holdings, FSG is currently evaluating what the future holds for their Reds tenure, opening themselves up to expressions of interest from those with very deep pockets who wish to take a controlling stake in the club. 

FSG purchased Liverpool in 2010 for £300m and spent the following ten years growing the club into a global powerhouse once again, according to information provided to the ECHO, the FSG's preferred method of investing remains through a "strategic partner," but with proposals of $4 billion (£3.3 billion) and above
