Darwin Nunez compared to one of the worst players in Manchester United history

The Frenchman continues to prove that he is not so skilled with the microphone and made a misplaced comparison.

The Frenchman continues to prove that he is not so skilled with the microphone and made a misplaced comparison.

Darwin Nunez seems to have awoken from his goal lethargy. The Uruguayan player was in a difficult situation due to the fact that he was not getting good results in front of goal. However, against Napoli he left a very good impression, scoring a goal and providing an assist. The English TV commentators were amazed by his numbers. Thierry Henry, a Premier League football legend, and Jamie Carragher, also a legend of the Merseyside club, both commented on the match between Liverpool and Napoli. Both commented on the Champions League match between Liverpool and Napoli on CBS Sports. Darwin Nunez was in the spotlight during the match and they couldn't help but talk about him and draw comparisons.

"He hasn't done what Haaland has done and people expect more for the price. But when you actually look at the minutes he's been on the pitch and how many goals he's scored per minute, his numbers are really frightening," said Jamie Carragher. The Uruguayan is averaging a goal every 106 minutes of play and scored his seventh goal in 15 games for the Reds.

New enemy for Klopp, Liverpool compared to losers Tottenham

Team split, Van Dijk is furious with Nunez for this reason and Klopp will make this decision

"I think he needs confidence," said Thierry Henry, "And the confidence I'm talking about is when you're at a club and you feel you're going to play week in, week out, you're a little bit cooler in front of goal. He wants to surprise the Liverpool fans that sometimes he rushes it. He grabs the ball and releases it rather than controlling the ball and going backwards."

The comparisons were not long in coming, despite having bemoaned more playing time for the Liverpool striker, Henry was astounded by his play: "There's something about him that you can't take your eyes off him when you're watching." Jamie Carragher was quick to recall Anfield legend Robbie Fowler. He was not the only one, as he recalled the first season of Luis Suarez, who was feeling the pressure of his signing.

Nunez is similar to Alexis Sanchez

"He's a bit more of a handful, so sometimes he will rush stuff. A bit like Alexis Sanchez or a young Luis Suarez, when you felt like things are bouncing off him and stuff like that. Because he wants to please so much and do so much - he wants to wow the Liverpool fans - sometimes he rushes it. He gets the ball, he rushes it instead of controlling the ball and going back on his right foot to finish it clean. He kind of rushes it," Henry said.
