Curtis Jones is one of the 37 man squad Liverpool FC sent to Thailand and Singapore for the Asian tour preseason games, which will begin this tuesday on a classic clash between Liverpool and Manchester United. He talked to Liverpoolfc.com and left some pretty good statements of how confidence he is ahead of a new season.
Jürgen Kloop looks to strengthen Liverpool's ranks with a world champion
Curtis Jones's numbers aren´t what he would want them to be, and that is just because he hasn't been much on the starting eleven or given as many opportunities as he would like. For example, taking in consideration the 2020-21 and 2021-22 Champions League seasons, he has 9 games played and just one goal.
On the Premier League, if we take on consideration the 2019-20, 2020-21, 2021-22 seasons he has 45 games played and three goals with three assists contributed to the team. He has shown resilience and his talent to be a player that can add something positive to the team, and that's what he said to Liverpoolfc.com during preseason.
"Since I've been around the team, I've always been in semi-finals, finals and winning things, and last season we were in all four – it's perfect, I'd like that again. (…) And on a personal note, to go in the team, take my chance, keep my place in the team and, of course, score and assist more goals." the midfielder told Liverpoolfc.com
