Liverpool wants to return to the top of the Premier League next season

The last Premier League season did not end in the best way for our Liverpool, because although we managed to qualify for European competitions, we were left out of the most important one. Meanwhile, Manchester City managed to win the title and also has in Erilng Haaland one of the most lethal strikers in the world today.

In view of this, Jürgen Klopp and the Liverpool board have decided to fight fire with fire, because although a year ago they signed Darwin Nunez for 80 million euros, the Uruguayan has not given the expected results, while Haaland cost 20 million less and broke records for most goals in the English league.

That is why now Klopp has his sights set on one of the most prolific strikers in all of Europe, a player who would be a bit more expensive than the Uruguayan striker was, but who promises at least 30 goals per season. We are talking about Victor Osimhen, the 24-year-old Nigerian attacker who currently plays for Napoli and who was also the top scorer last season in Serie A.

According to various reports, the Liverpool board has scheduled a meeting with the player and his entourage to try to convince him to come to Anfield and join Jürgen Klopp's project. Currently, Osimhen is worth €120 million, according to Transfermarkt, so it is expected that the Reds' board will make a big effort to sign him.

Osimhen's numbers with Napoli

Last season was fantastic for Victor Osimhen. He was Serie A champion with Napoli and scored a total of 31 goals in all competitions. Osimhen has a contract with Napoli until 2025, but the president of the Italian club assured that "if an exorbitant and impossible to ignore offer arrives", Osimhen could leave the club this summer.
