Diogo Jota has scored 3 goals in Liverpool's preseason

It is no secret that Liverpool's transfer market has not turned out to be what we all expected, because at first it was said that we would be one of the most active clubs in terms of signings, however so far only two players have joined our club and instead we have had a total of 20 departures, which could increase in the coming days.

Currently, the Anfield board is working to strengthen the midfield and defense of the team, because for Jürgen Klopp these are the two areas of the team that require reinforcements for next season. In fact, little has been said about any possible reinforcements in the team's attack, except for a couple of rumors, but no concrete offer, as the German tactician considers that the Reds have one of the best attacks in the Premier League for next season.

In that sense, it has even been reported that Jürgen Klopp has the difficult task of deciding who to leave on the bench for the Premier League opener against Chelsea, as all the first team players playing in the final third of the pitch have had an excellent preseason. Mohamed Salah, Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez, Cody Gakpo and Diogo Jota have all contributed goals and assists during the warm-up games and so Klopp has a difficult decision ahead of him.

However, it seems that the good form of our strikers has not gone unnoticed by other clubs, as according to journalist François Plateau, Ajax have reportedly approached the Anfield board about the price of Diogo Jota, as the Dutch side would be interested in signing the 26-year-old Portuguese attacker.

How much would they pay for Jota?

According to journalist François Plateau himself, Ajax's approach would have been immediately rejected by Liverpool, as they consider Diogo Jota an extremely important player for the club's future. Currently, Diogo Jota is valued at €50 million according to the Transfermarkt portal, so probably Ajax's offer would have been close to that amount, although as already mentioned Liverpool has no intention of selling him.
