No more chances at Anfield. Klopp takes action after ridiculous defeat in seaside town of Brighton

The Red's did it again, this time the ridicule was on the Coast, the Brighton pitch witnessing an inoperative Liverpool failing to even score a goal, and ending up eating three goals from the Seagulls, who have now overtaken them on points in the overall Premier League table. So for the first time this season, The Pool are in 9th place in the table after 18 games played.

With the worst version in many years, Klopp sent to the field the best he had available, since at the last minute the Uruguayan Darwin Nunez, who did not participate in the week because of a blow he recorded in training, was left out of the call-up. It was then that the German coach had to send Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to the field, who despite having one foot out of Liverpool is still taken into account by Klopp.

For the 29-year-old Englishman, opportunities are running out as the board have little interest in offering him a new contract at the end of the season, either letting him leave in the summer or cashing in on a quick sale in this summer's transfer window. So with such a poor showing this matchday, Klopp knows that OX is taking the place of a signing who will actually feel committed to the team's plight.

At the conclusion of the Brighton game, Klopp admitted he was extremely disappointed and that they must look to make do with what little they have. This statement was not taken well by fans who took to social media to call for the departure of players such as Jordan Henderson, Naby Keïta, James Milner, Adrian Joe Gomez, Joel Matip, Trent Alexander-Arnold and of course Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Several players will have to go

As the night progressed Twitter was very active for the fans, who added more names to this huge list, starting with Roberto Firmino who they believe has given his all on Merseyside and it is time to let him go, rebuking Klopp's intention to keep him for at least one more season. They also punished Arthur Melo who for many is the biggest disappointment of the season, having played just 14 minutes for the club.
