This player could have been the star of the team, but now he's leaving

Guinean midfielder Naby Keita, who is nearing the end of his contract with Liverpool, has committed to Werder Bremen, the German club announced on Friday. "Werder is a special club and I know the Weserstadion, I played there with Leipzig. The club and the philosophy suit me, it's the right choice for me."

Playing for RB Leipzig, Keita signed for Liverpool in 2018 and with the 'Reds' he has won the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup and League Cup in England. "Last year he was on the pitch in the Champions League final, he brings a lot of international experience to the group, we will benefit from that as a team," Werder coach Ole Werner said.

Werder Bremen finished 13th in the Bundesliga this year, in their first season after promotion to the elite. Naby Keita impressed in his two years in Germany, scoring 17 goals and providing 15 assists in 71 appearances for Leipzig, which earned him a transfer to Liverpool for 65 million euros at the time.

His time at Liverpool

In 5 years with the navigata club he played 126 games and although his main task was not to score goals he could only score on 11 occasions. I have known by all the great level that he has but he could not show it little at anfield since the injuries attacked him a lot and he is remembered for being one of the players who cried the most in the final lost against Real Madrid in Paris in 2022. He has also been singled out for being one of those responsible for the failure to qualify for the Champions League that season as he was unable to help the team.
