Bad news at Liverpool ahead of Carabao Cup clash with Fulham

In the third round of the FA Cup, Liverpool eliminated Arsenal with a 2-0 win at Emirates Stadium. An own goal from Jakub Kiwior and Luis Diaz's late winner earned Jürgen Klopp's side a place in the next round. In a game in which the home side had more possession and were even more dangerous in attack, the Reds did not waste Mikel Arteta's side's lack of punch and are through to the fourth round of the FA Cup.

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson was solid in goal and kept a clean sheet throughout the match, saving six shots on goal. Trent Alexander-Arnold was another key player for the visitors. The first goal of the game came in the 80th minute. From a free kick taken by Alexander-Arnold, Arsenal defender Jakub Kiwior made an incorrect 'attack' on the ball and ended up putting the ball into his own net.

With the Gunners 'turned' in attack to tie the game, Liverpool counter-attacked and with a powerful shot from Luis Diaz they made it 0-2 and extended Arsenal's bad streak, as well as being their third defeat in a row, they have only won one of their last seven games.

Trent Alexander-Arnold's injury

At Tuesday's press conference, Pep Lijnders revealed that Trent Alexander-Arnold suffered an injury in the game against Arsenal that will keep him out for three weeks. But on social media, the moment the vice-captain picked up the injury was spotted.
