Liverpool receives this Sunday from Aston Villa at Anfield Road for a new Premier League date. Jürgen Klopp, the Reds' coach, spoke at a press conference and referred to Darwin Núñez, who scored a double in the final minutes last Sunday to give his team victory against Newcastle.
The German defined the entry of the Uruguayan as "massive". “It is what he wants and what we want. This is how it has to be," he stressed, adding: "You could see it the next day. We could all feel that the game had a massive impact, from the way it happened."
“For 10 or 20 minutes it seemed like everything was against us. It is not a matter of fate. It seemed that everything was finished, but the boys fought and it was impressive. Now we must try to do that with eleven players. It would help us a lot”, concluded the Liverpool technical director.
Darwin Núñez has not been able to appear as a starter so far this Premier League season as he has been relegated to the substitute bench. However, after his great performance last season against Newcastle, Klopp would be doubting whether to return him to the main lineup or prefer to protect him for the final part of the match.
